A Tisket A Tasket

This little quilt is now all quilted, bound and only lacking a few buttons for the embellishments. It is ready for our guild's quilt show next weekend.

Here is the back--decided to piece it and I think that worked out just fine. I had a lot of the charm squares left and cut more to make enough.

I am happy with the way the quilting went.

The girl that designed this block of the month has another one going. So far, I am just saving the patterns which are for snowmen. The blocks are sweet and quite simple so I might do them later on. (Click to enlarge)

HI Carol, Just spent an intensive 3 days at a wonderful quilter's gathering (Guilds from all over the province)....the last group that did their presentation had one of these all finished...her colours were more earthy. It was just as gorgeous as yours..really like the pattern and if I had an energy right now I'd finally get around to doing mine. I think I like your colour choices better...it is perky!

Carol, this is so cute! The colors are so cheerful, and as much as I love the front, I especially love that you pieced the back. I'm becoming more and more interested in pieced backs, and am working on one for my son's shaded 9 patch quilt. THANK YOU for sharing!!!

This is just so cute. I am making the snowman blocks, but I have the baskets saved. I want to do this one some day too. I love the colors.

Well, the 3 musketeers are back from Paducah and boy did we have a great time. We ate, we shopped and we laughed while enjoying some of the most extravagent quilts that i have every seen. We walked the museum with Kaffe Fassett and ate at a Mexican restaurant when Eleanor Burns came right over to our table and talked to us and then sat right next to Ricky Timms at lunch while we both enjoyed a pulled pork sandwich. What a great time was had by this little quilt lover. I still wish that you were with us, you would have had great laughs with us also. I just love your Tisket a Tasket quilt. I will look forward to seeing you Thursday, I am hanging quilts for Robyn early then show quilts after.

Your basket quilt is so impressive, the backing is as sweet as the front! Are you entering it into competition? You'll have to let us know how it goes! I love you color selections, it's a very happy quilt!
